FutureDAMS Co-Investigator in Myanmar, Professor Aung Ze Ya of Yangon Technological University (Ministry of Education), delivered training to the officials of the different departments of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy (MoEE) on 10th to 14th February in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.
Professor Aung’s training aimed to give ministry officials an introduction to the FutureDAMS project and to build capacity to utilise the FutureDAMS project’s modelling and simulation tools. His training also covers the concepts of sustainable hydropower development (SHD), techno-economic analysis of energy systems, application of power system flexibility considering the water-energy nexus, the investment planning considering multiple criteria, the Hydra platform, PyEnergy, and his current Myanmar case study model.
